WHAT

The Shalom Foundation and the Center for Yiddish Culture invite all Yiddish lovers to a three-week virtual meeting with Yiddish language and with Jewish history, literature, culture and art, which will take place through the ZOOM platform on June 29 – July 17, 2020.

WHEN

Applications must be received by June 22, 2020.
Scholarship applications with all supporting documents must be received by May 22, 2020. 

TOPICS

The program includes:

  • 60 hours of online language instruction (at four different levels) 
  • additional language online tutorials for beginners / speaking classes for more advanced students
  • online lectures and workshops, evening movie screenings and other supplementary programs

Students can take the full program or choose between a whole array of options and create a program that will suit their needs best in this difficult time!  

The language instruction and lectures will be delivered by specialists from various institutions, including Warsaw University, POLIN Museum, the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Paris Yiddish Center, and the Jewish Historical Institute.
